How Much Does a Digital Marketing Audit Cost?
Marketing audit pricing depends on what actually needs to be reviewed. One paid media account is very different from a business running paid search, SEO, email, multiple vendors, an internal marketing team, and a CRM that needs to be compared with marketing reports.
Marketing Audit Co. scopes each engagement around the questions you need answered, the systems involved, and the amount of evidence that needs to be reviewed. You receive the scope and price before a full audit begins.
Not sure whether you need a full audit?
Marketing Audit Assessment
$650
The Marketing Audit Assessment is for businesses that have a specific concern, or a broader sense that something is wrong, but are not yet sure whether a full audit is necessary or which audit fits.
Bring one concern, such as paid ads, SEO, your website, agency performance, reporting, or an internal marketing issue. We take a focused look at the information that can be reviewed quickly and recommend the right next step.
Every assessment ends in one of three outcomes:
- No further audit is needed.
- A specific full audit is recommended.
- More information is needed before a larger engagement makes sense.
This is not a miniature audit. It is the decision point before one.
The assessment includes one conversation, a focused review of the relevant information that can be shared, and a short written summary.
If you move forward with a full audit within 30 days, the $650 assessment fee is credited toward the full engagement.

Number of marketing channels
Reviewing one Google Ads account takes less time than evaluating paid media, SEO, website performance, email, reporting, and several channels together.
Number of accounts and vendors
Multiple advertising accounts, agencies, freelancers, business units, or locations increase the amount of work that has to be verified.
Historical data
A recent three month review is different from reconstructing a year or more of spend, campaign changes, reporting, and business performance.
Reporting complexity
Work that involves CRM records, call tracking, booked opportunities, sales data, or reported revenue usually requires more reconciliation than a platform-only review.
The questions you need answered
"Is this Google Ads account wasting money" is a narrower question than "which parts of our entire digital marketing operation are producing business value."
Documentation and deliverables
A full written audit with evidence, priorities, and recommendations requires more analysis than a focused assessment of one concern.
Scope can range from a single concern to a full operation, with no fixed packages in between:
- Focused concern
- Single service audit
- Full digital marketing audit
What are you paying for?
The fee covers the review and analysis itself. The audit is not a sales presentation built around moving you into monthly marketing management.
Relevant account and data review
The accounts, reports, contracts, spend, and available business records that matter to the scope.
Independent analysis
What appears to be working, what needs attention, and what can actually be verified.
Written findings
Documented findings and evidence, not just an automated score or a conversation.
Priorities
A distinction between issues that materially affect performance and smaller optimization opportunities.
Recommended next steps
What should be fixed, investigated, monitored, questioned, or left alone.
Why is there not one flat price for every audit?
A flat price sounds simple, but the work is not the same from one business to the next. A single channel review should not be priced the same as a multi-channel audit involving several vendors, historical data, and revenue reconciliation.
Marketing Audit Co. defines the scope around the actual marketing environment and the questions leadership needs answered. You know the scope, deliverables, and price before the full audit starts.
What about free marketing audits?
Free account reviews can be useful. The important question is what the reviewer is trying to sell afterward.
Many free reviews are performed by companies that also want to manage the ads, rebuild the website, sell SEO, or replace the current agency. That does not automatically make the findings wrong, but the incentive is different.
Marketing Audit Co. provides independent analysis. A legitimate result may be that your current agency or internal team is doing good work and no major change is needed.

Pricing FAQ
How much does a marketing audit cost?
The cost depends on scope: number of channels, accounts, vendors, historical data, and the depth of analysis required. Marketing Audit Co. provides a defined scope and price before a full audit begins.
Do I have to purchase a full audit?
No. The $650 Marketing Audit Assessment is designed for businesses that have one concern or are not yet sure which audit, if any, is appropriate.
Is the $650 assessment fee applied to a full audit?
Yes. If a full audit is booked within 30 days of the assessment, the $650 assessment fee is credited toward the full engagement.
Do you charge monthly retainers?
Standard audits are project based. Marketing Audit Co. does not require an ongoing marketing management retainer as part of the audit.
Will I know the price before you start?
Yes. Full audit scope, deliverables, and pricing are confirmed before the engagement begins.
Why not publish fixed prices for every audit?
The amount of work can vary substantially based on channels, vendors, account access, historical data, reporting systems, and the questions being investigated. Pricing the actual scope is more accurate than forcing every business into the same package.
